Angie L. Bolanos

Clinical Director and Hand Therapist

Angie Bolanos has over 13 years of experience in the practice of rehabilitative therapy. She graduated Cum Laude from Syracuse University with a degree in Occupational Therapy and a minor in Psychology. Upon concluding her undergraduate studies, Angie was immediately recruited as an occupational therapist by a large well-established rehabilitation organization in South Florida. Having the natural ability to consistently raise the benchmark, she quickly moved through the ranks holding various administrative rolls amongst various rehabilitation settings.

Angie has industry experience working alongside well known upper extremity / hand orthopedic surgeons, on hand injuries of varying degrees. She is also experienced with orthopedic and specialty neurological conditions, work injuries, and catastrophic cases. Some of her prior experience included completing ergonomic assessments and job task analysis for Parkway Medical Center, now currently Jackson Memorial Hospital, on decreasing work injuries and risks. She was previously the Director of Rehabilitation at Heartland Manor Care, where she was responsible for a 120 bed facility supervising a team of 20-25 Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapists.

Angie considers herself a student of rehabilitative theory and thrives on perfecting her professional skills, by constantly learning from her peers and those deemed authorities in their respective fields. Throughout her career, she has continued to gain experience and expertise by becoming certified in ergonomics, and trained in the Matheson system for Functional Capacity Evaluations, Aquatic Therapy, Kinesio Taping, Splinting, Wound Care, and is a Hand Therapy Specialist. Angie also takes pride in sharing her knowledge and experience, by serving as clinical instructor for Occupational Therapy students at local hospitals throughout Miami Dade County.
